Inside Line Promotions – WORTHAM, Texas (Aug. 10, 2020) – Austin Zimmerman remains undefeated during Lone Star Mower Racing Association competition at Camp Shayla.

The SawBlade.com sponsored racer scored his third straight FX class triumph at the track last Saturday, sweeping the night by winning both a heat race and the main event for the second consecutive time.

“I was pretty confident in the mower,” he said. “I did a couple of things beforehand to find a little more horsepower. I had a good idea what I wanted to do as far as the setup. The track was in the same condition as the last time we raced so I ran the same setup for the heat race and we did really well. The track was honestly perfect.”

Zimmerman started second, but quickly powered into the lead en route to a heat race win. That put him on the pole for the main event.

“The same thing happened in the feature,” he said. “They put a little more water on the track to knock the dust off. I kept the setup as it was. I put a new belt on and that was really all I did. I wanted to run it a little looser. As I progress I’m getting more confident. I wanted to keep some momentum up around the track to get faster. It worked out really well.”

Zimmerman led the distance to garner his third feature triumph in as many starts. He was also victorious in March and in June.

The next Lone Star Mower Racing Association event at Camp Shayla is Sept. 12. That will be the start of a new season.
