Inside Line Promotions – IDAVILLE, Ind. (June 12, 2018) – The SawBlade.com sponsored Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition tractor of David and Janet Esteb came up light while competing with the Indiana Pulling League last Saturday, failing to get a good pull.
Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition competes in the light superstock tractor class and is limited to 505ci engines that can have up to four turbo chargers with a maximum of three stages. The Estebs’ machine weighs 6,300 pounds.
At tractor pulls teams draw a number to determine the order of the pull. The driver who pulls the weighted sled – that gets heavier the farther the driver travels down the track – the farthest wins. A pulling track is typically 300-to-320 feet long.
“At Idaville we couldn’t get the tractor to light in the class,” Janet Esteb said. “We came back for a test run after some adjustments and we were happy with the results.”
The unfortunate outing comes after an impressive second-place run on June 5. On May 26 the Eat’n Dollars machine suffered engine problems and finished 11th at a pull in Tennessee. The SawBlade.com backed team also competed in Kentucky in February to open 2018.
The Esteb’s will continue to race across the Midwest and East with a focus on Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League events in 2018. That season will begin July 13 at the Jersey County Fair in Jerseyville, Ill., followed by the Marshall/Putnam County Fair in Henry, Ill., on July 14.
The next event for the team is June 30 in Winamac, Ind., with the Indiana Pulling League.
