Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Aug. 28, 2017) – Four track champions will be crowned this Saturday at BMP Speedway, which hosts Track Championships Night.
WISSOTA late models, WISSOTA street stocks, WISSOTA super stocks and WISSOTA midwest modifieds will all be in action and will showcase a close championship battle. All four classes feature at least the top two drivers within 39 points of each other. A maximum of 57 points can be made up on any given night of WISSOTA competition, meaning each championship likely won’t be decided until the checkered flag is waved.
The tightest battle is in the WISSOTA midwest modifieds division as the top three drivers are separated by less than two dozen points. Dennis Hurd enters Saturday with a 12-point lead in championship standings over Rod Lorenz. Cory Wilder is only 23 points out of the lead with Cal Rossner 51 points behind Hurd.
Jason George leads the WISSOTA super stocks standings by 20 points over Jeremy Meirhofer. Vance Lorenz is 26 points behind George with Jace Lorenz 47 points behind the leader.
Rayce McCord holds a 34-point advantage over Kelly Hample in the WISSOTA late models standings with Chris Dunn 46 points out of the top spot.
Devin Kenaston has a 39-point edge over Troy Lorenz in the WISSOTA street stocks standings. Robert Petroff is 44 points behind Kenaston and two points ahead of Grant Gary.
The front gates are slated to open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $14 ($12 pre-buy) for adults and $10 ($8 pre-buy) for seniors, military members and students ages 12 to 17 years old. Admission is free for children ages 11 and younger. Pit passes are $30 per person.
