Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (May 17, 2017) – Longdale Speedway will host five classes of race cars this Friday and Saturday during the 3rd annual Walleye Rodeo event, which will showcase the top late model stars of the MARS DIRTcar Series under the new Top Gun Series.
A top field of cars is expected for the first two races of the six-race Top Gun Series scheduled at the 3/8-mile oval this year. IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA sport mods and pure stocks will compete for added prize money and a special point fund.
The magnitude of the event will be significantly elevated each night with the addition of the MARS DIRTcar Series, which will be making its only appearances at the track this year. The series also has races scheduled in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee in 2017.
“I expect a stellar car count in all four of the Top Gun divisions plus a full field of MARS late models running with us,” Longdale General Manager Greg Burgess said. “It makes for a great weekend of entertainment when it’s held in conjunction with the Canton Lake Walleye Rodeo. It doesn’t get any better than two nights of our Top Gun Series with the MARS late models at Oklahoma’s premier racing facility.”
Admission prices for this weekend are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, military and students. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Racing begins at 7 p.m. each night.
The initial race for the Top Gun Series on May 3 was rained out. The remaining races scheduled for the series are July 1-2 and October 13-14.

LONGDALE SPEEDWAY –
Longdale Speedway is a semi-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval located in Longdale, Okla. Longdale features a gravel pit area off of the backstretch with a concrete viewing area. The pits also include concessions and a full parts store, including tires and fuel. A concrete wall perimeter surrounds the track with an electronic scoreboard, television quality lighting, aluminum grandstand seating 2,000 along with a souvenir shop, sno cone hut, concessions and Herb’s Smoke Shack featuring ribs and turkey legs. All of these features making Longdale Speedway the premier dirt track in Northwest Oklahoma.
