Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (Feb. 24, 2017) – Longdale Speedway officials have worked hard to make the 2017 racing season the best one in the history of the 3/8-mile oval.
Many companies have come on board to support the competitors and Longdale Speedway recently announced a partnership to work with Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kan., in an effort to give the race teams and fans more options throughout the season. Additionally, Longdale Speedway has created the Top Gun Series, which features seven nights of premier events that offset the Longdale Speedway Racing Series schedule.
“We have worked hard to ensure that our facility is top notch and that the race teams, fans, sponsors and media all have an exciting and safe venue to enjoy,” Longdale Speedway General Manager Greg Burgess said. “We can’t wait to get the 2017 season underway and showcase Longdale Speedway from March through October.”
The season opener is set for Saturday, March 11, and will feature the regular classes – IMCA modifieds, IMCA sport mods, IMCA stock cars and pure stocks. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. and the main gate opens at 5:30 p.m. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for military members and seniors. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Advanced tickets can be purchased by visiting http://www.LongdaleSpeedway.net. Fans who bring a business card and a matching picture ID get in free.
Additionally, there is an open practice night scheduled for March 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The season opener is the first of 12 rounds under the Longdale Speedway Racing Series banner. The semi-banked oval will also host a variety of Top Gun Series races – highlighted by a night that will showcase NASCAR notables Tony Stewart, Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader (May 3) – and other special events, including URSS/SSOO sprint cars (April 1), the MARS Late Model Series (May 19-20) and a tractor pull (June 3).
Additionally, popular events such as the Poor Stock Madness (Aug. 19), Darren Ernst Memorial (Sept. 29-30) and Iron Man Winter Nationals (Oct. 13-14) return this season.
Longdale Speedway will also promote nights in honor of local law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, emergency management, search and rescue, school employees, military members, boy scouts and girl scouts, youth sports teams and FFA members.

LONGDALE SPEEDWAY –
Longdale Speedway is a semi-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval located in Longdale, Okla. Longdale features a gravel pit area off of the backstretch with a concrete viewing area. The pits also include concessions and a full parts store, including tires and fuel. A concrete wall perimeter surrounds the track with an electronic scoreboard, television quality lighting, aluminum grandstand seating 2,000 along with a souvenir shop, sno cone hut, concessions and Herb’s Smoke Shack featuring ribs and turkey legs.
