Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, S.C. (Aug. 30, 2016) – McCallister Precision Marketing client Derek Scott Jr. has partnered with veteran NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Rick Crawford.
The two first teamed up when Scott Jr., who is a 17-year-old from Franklin, Texas, made his NASCAR debut at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, in June. Crawford served as a driving coach and his influence will continue to be felt by Scott Jr., who is a rising star in the sport.
“Rick Crawford has a lot of experience and knowledge that I am fortunate to learn from,” he said. “I’m excited to continue to work with him and I look forward to a lot of success together.”
Their first race together will be in a super late model on Sept. 11 at Montgomery Motor Speedway in Montgomery, Ala.
“There is a lot of young talent in racing and Derek is right in the middle of it,” Crawford said. “I’m excited to share my experience with him and to help him continue to grow as a top-notch driver.”
Crawford, who is a former track champion at Five Flags Speedway and who earned five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series feature wins during his driving career, has brought in Patrick ‘Dinky’ Torbett, who was the 2013 NASCAR All American Series National Mechanic of the Year. He is a two-time track champion crew chief and has served as a car chief for NASCAR driver Trevor Bayne. Torbett has also been part of more than 50 wins in the Late Model Stock Series.

Scott Jr. has spent this season competing with great success at pro late model events in the Southeast in addition to his NASCAR debut in Iowa. He will continue to race pro late model events as well as select super late model races.
