Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (Aug. 3, 2016) – A lot of money will be up for grabs at Longdale Speedway late next month.
The 2nd annual Darren Ernst Memorial is offering $3,000 to win the finale of the two-day IMCA sport mod main event on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 with $3,000 on the line that same weekend for IMCA modifieds during the Iron Man Challenge.
The 3/8-mile oval will host an open practice from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, before the marquee event begins the following night.
The Sept. 30 night features single-car qualifying, qualifier races and a $550-to-win, $50-to-start main event for the Darren Ernst Memorial and Iron Man Challenge. The top eight in both classes are locked into the main event the ensuing night, when those drivers will do a bracket race to determine the first four rows of the starting lineup. The winner of the bracket race receives $400 with second place earning $300, third place $200 and fourth place $100.
The event finale on Oct. 1 will showcase last chance races prior to the two features, which both pay $3,000 to win, $1,500 for second, $1,000 for third, $800 for fourth and $750 for fifth. A total of 24 cars will make both main events, which each pay $300 to start.
Additionally, there are several bonuses throughout the weekend, including $100 for the fast qualifier in each class and $100 for the hard charger in each class.
Adult tickets are $15 per night. Tickets for seniors and military members are $12 each night with children ages 6 to 12 only $5 per night. Children ages 5 and younger get in free.
Longdale Speedway is also offering a two-day event ticket, which is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military members and $5 for children ages 6 to 12.
The front gate and pit gate will both open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. both nights.

Longdale Speedway is a semi-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval located in Longdale, Okla. Longdale features a gravel pit area off of the backstretch with a concrete viewing area.
