Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (July 19, 2016) – Longdale Speedway has combined two of its marquee races into one spectacular weekend this fall.
The 2nd annual Darren Ernst Memorial, which features a 60-lap, $3,000-to-win IMCA sport mod main event, and the 2nd annual 60-lap, $3,000-to-win Iron Man Challenge for the IMCA modifieds will be held at the 3/8-mile oval on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
“These are two of our premier races and running them the same weekend will set the stage for a great event for both the racers and the fans,” Longdale Speedway General Manager Greg Burgess said.
The weekend will begin on Thursday, Sept. 29, with an open practice night before qualifying events will be held the following night and the finale on Oct. 1.
The Sept. 30 night features single-car qualifying and qualifier races for the Darren Ernst Memorial and Iron Man Challenge. The top eight in both classes are locked into the main event the ensuing night, when those drivers will do a bracket race to determine the first four rows of the starting lineup. Last chance races open the action on the finale prior to the IMCA sport mod feature paying $3,000 to win and the IMCA modifieds feature paying $3,000 to win.
Additionally, there are several bonuses throughout the weekend. The fast qualifier in each class will receive an extra $100 and the hard charger $100.
Adult tickets are $15 per night. Tickets for seniors and military members are $12 each night with children ages 6 to 12 only $5 per night. Children ages 5 and younger get in free.
Longdale Speedway is also offering a two-day event ticket, which is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military members and $5 for children ages 6 to 12.
The front gate and pit gate will both open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. both nights.
