Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (July 5, 2016) – The Monster Mash will invade Billings Motorsports Park this Saturday.
Midwest modifieds will compete for the $1,000 top prize during the marquee event, which also features a $1,000-to-win late model main event along with streets stocks.
Dennis Hurd enters this weekend leading the midwest modifieds championship standings by seven points over Cal Rossner. John Miner is only 18 points out of the lead and one point ahead of Cody Kuglin. Bill Carey, who rounds out the top five in the standings, is 26 points behind Hurd.
Hurd has earned one win and a top-five finish during four features this season. Rossner and Kuglin have also been victorious and both drivers have recorded three top fives.
Hank Berry owns a four-point advantage over Kelly Hample in the late model championship standings. Berry posted results of second and sixth last weekend during a doubleheader, while Hample won the opener and ended 22nd during the finale.
Hample leads the class with two feature wins as Berry and the most recent winner, Dave Smith, are the only other drivers to reach the Winner’s Circle this season.
Robert Petroff currently holds a 17-point lead in the street stocks standings. Bob Gordon has a one-point edge over Troy Lorenz for the runner-up position in the standings with James Garretson and Grant Gary tied for fourth – only 21 points behind Petroff.
Petroff, Dwayne Fowler and Dallas Whiting have each won one street stock race this season.
Tickets for Saturday’s event are $14 for adults; $10 for seniors, military members and students ages 12 to 17 years old; $5 for children ages 7 to 11 years old; and free for children ages 6 and younger.
The pits are slated to open at 3 p.m. with the front gate opening at 5:30 p.m. Racing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
