Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (June 30, 2016) – Drivers from at least a half dozen states and Canadian provinces are heading to Billings Motorsports Park this weekend for the Rebel Run.
The 3/8-mile oval is hosting one of its marquee doubleheaders of the year on Friday and Saturday when IMCA modifieds and late model drivers will compete in $1,000-to-win main events each night during the Warriors Rendezvous. Super stocks are also on the card.
Late model competitors Eric Mass, Lynn Amick, Tyler Amundson and Dan Henrikson have made notice they will be venturing over from South Dakota with Wyoming’s Rich Haberstroh, Saskatachwan’s Jim Harris and Alberta’s Terry Carter taking on the top drivers from Montana, including John Lighthizer.
Local stars Hank Berry and Kelly Hample are tied atop the late model standings at Billings Motorsports Park with both drivers each winning a feature this season.
In addition to the strong group of invaders facing the stout contingent of locals there will another battle between experience and youth as teenagers Rayce and Kinzer McCord are slated to compete. Rayce McCord is coming off a win last weekend with Kinser McCord inching closer to his first career triumph.
The modifieds class will feature a great battle as well with Montana residents Joey and John Price facing many of the top stars from the region, including Eddie Kirchoff, who outlasted more than two dozen drivers last Saturday to garner the $1,000-to-win Interstate IMCA Modifieds Challenge Series victory at Billings Motorsports Park.
Kenny Baumann, Jeremy Meirhofer and Beau Nave, who rank first through third, respectively, in the track championship standings, are among the list of locals expected to contend for wins this weekend.
Tickets for each night are $14 for adults; $10 for seniors, military members and students ages 12 to 17 years old; $5 for children ages 7 to 11 years old; and free for children ages 6 and younger.
