Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 27, 2015) – Big Game Motorsports and Danny Lasoski continued their standout season last week by earning another feature victory and top-five finishes during all five races throughout the Midwest.

“We knew when we looked at the schedule that last week would be an important week,” Lasoski said. “We had a very consistent week. Happy wouldn’t be the word to describe it because we want to win every race, but you have to be consistent to win races.”

The consistency led the Muddy backed team to its eighth win and 26th top five of the year, including a streak of 15 straight. Lasoski now owns a 585-point lead in the FVP National Sprint League championship standings and a 326-point advantage in the standings at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

Last week’s competition began with the start of the FVP National Sprint League Speedweek, which featured four races at different tracks in six days, on Tuesday at Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa. Lasoski qualified third quickest, placed second in a heat race and sixth in the dash before advancing from sixth to third place during the main event in his debut at the track.

“It’s very uncommon in today’s racing that you get a top and a bottom with the middle slick,” he said. “That’s what they gave us in Britt. If you had a good car you could pass and we got up to third.”

Big Game Motorsports invaded Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines, Iowa, the ensuing day. Lasoski, who hadn’t competed at the track since the early 1990s, timed in seventh quickest during qualifying before winning a heat race. He ended seventh in the dash and then rallied from seventh to fourth place during the main event.

Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minn., hosted FVP National Sprint League Speedweek Round 3 last Thursday with Lasoski qualifying second quickest, finishing third in a heat race and fourth during the feature.

“It was driver error there,” he said. “For some reason it bites us in the tail. We made it to second on the first start, but Ian Madsen jumped the start so they called it back. On the restart I fell off the backstretch and dropped to 10th.”

Lasoski rallied to post a fourth-place result.

The Muddy sponsored team tackled Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, when Lasoski set quick time during qualifying, ended sixth in a heat race and made a late move in traffic to capture his 106th career victory at the half-mile oval.

“Knoxville had an inch and a half of rain on Friday and two inches on Saturday morning,” he said. “They had the race track in great shape. With all the rain the top was way good. We just bided our time until we got to lapped traffic.”

Lasoski took over the top spot on Lap 16 before winning the race.

The busy week concluded on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway during the FVP National Sprint League Speedweek finale. Lasoski timed in second quickest, ended fourth in a heat race and picked up a position on the fast track during the main event to secure third place.

“They also got a lot of rain,” he said. “It was one of those race tracks where you ran around there wide open. The track was fast and there wasn’t a ton of passing.”

Lasoski and Big Game Motorsports return to competition this Thursday and Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., with the FVP National Sprint League and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
