Inside Line Promotions – FINDLAY, Ohio (March 25, 2015) – Caleb Helms doesn’t have a lot of experience competing at Atomic Speedway, but he sure enjoys the track.

Helms is slated to tackle the high-banked oval in Chillicothe, Ohio, this Saturday for the All Star Circuit of Champions first points race of the season. It pays $10,000 to win.

“We are all chomping at the bit to get to the track and start racing again,” he said. “This is a race that we’ve looked forward to for a long time. It’s always great to be able to race at Atomic Speedway and I think Saturday’s event will be a big one.” It really fits my style.

Helms scored a sixth-place result at Atomic Speedway last season, which marked his best 410ci sprint car finish at the facility.

“I remember the track was wide and racy,” he said. “The winner started 11th and the second-place driver started 18th so that shows how great of a track it was. If your car was operating you could race anywhere from the very bottom up to the fence. Those are the kinds of race tracks that drivers love.”

Helms, who opened this season in February competing in four Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour races in Florida, has won at Atomic Speedway. He claimed a 360ci feature at the track in 2010.

“I started second and trailed Butch Schroeder the whole race,” he said. “I was a lot better than him on the high side. I really tracked him in the last two laps and I passed him on the last lap to win that race.”

Helms will open the weekend on Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, where he registered a pair of top fives last season.

“It’s always fun to race there,” he said. “It’s a premier track in Ohio.”
