Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2014) – Big Game Motorsports driver Craig Dollansky closed out his regular season at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday with another top-five finish.

“We were fast in hot laps and then once qualifying came around I should have adjusted my line on the second lap,” he said. “That put us in a hole.”

Dollansky kicked off the Knoxville Raceway season finale by qualifying 10th quickest. He then finished fifth in his heat race to lock the Big Game Treestands car into the main event, which it started ninth.

“In the heat race we got transferred, but didn’t have a lot of speed,” he said. “The main event was kind of the same deal. We worked our way into the top five. We got out of there with a top five and we learned some things so that was good, but we sure didn’t end it like we wanted at Knoxville.”

Dollansky finished sixth in the championship standings – only four points out of fifth. He earned seven top-five finishes and 12 top 10s at the half-mile track this season.

The Big Game Treestands team will take this weekend off before racing in a trio of events the following week. Dollansky will compete on Sept. 5 at Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., and Sept. 6 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., during a pair of IRA Outlaw Sprint Series events before a $10,000-to-win race at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., on Sept. 7.
