Inside Line Promotions – WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Sammy Swindell is seeking his first career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory at 34 Raceway when the premier sprint car series makes its return on Friday, June 27.
Swindell has earned a pair of top 10s in each of his past two trips to the track, including a 10th-place finish last season.
“I’ve only been there a few times, but we’ve had some decent runs there,” he said.
This year will mark only the fourth visit to 34 Raceway for the World of Outlaws with a different driver claiming the feature win in each previous race. Craig Dollansky set a torrid pace to cruise to the victory last season with Joey Saldana winning in 2009 and Tony Bruce Jr. capturing the triumph during the inaugural race in 2008.
While the person standing in Victory Lane has been different each year, the competition has been stiff every race.
“It’s a tough track,” Swindell said. “But at that place there has been two different lines you could run.”
Joey Saldana, Donny Schatz and Jason Sides are the only drivers to record more than one top five during World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action at 34 Raceway.

Check out the O’Reilly Auto Parts $5 off general admission ticket special. When fans purchase a general admission ticket at a participating O’Reilly Auto Parts store they receive $5 off (adult tickets are $35 or $30 at O’Reilly Auto Parts and child tickets are $15 or $10 at O’Reilly Auto Parts). Children 5 and younger get into the race for free. Fans need to exchange their O’Reilly Auto Parts receipt for a ticket at the main grandstands booth on race day.
A pit/combo ticket is also available, which includes a reserved seat, a pit pass and a “Class of 2014” poster of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series drivers. Adult pit/combo tickets are $38 and pit/combo tickets for children aged 0 to 12 are $25.
