Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (March 19, 2014) – Momentum has continued to build for Brandon Hahn the past couple of weeks following his season-opening performance.

Although he hasn’t competed since the first two rounds of the Cocopah Cup Challenge at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Ariz., Feb. 28 and March 1, Hahn has relived the high moments from that Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season-opening weekend.

“I’ve got some momentum,” he said. “The new motors from Wesmar run really well. We got some new Penske shocks as well.”

Hahn powered to his first Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour heat race win since 2012 on March 1 and he had advanced into the top 10 during the feature that night before a parts failure slowed him to an 18th-place result.

Since returning home, he has focusing on building on the positives from the opener.

“I’ve just been working on the trailer and getting the car ready, just little stuff,” he said. “I’m excited to get on a bigger track and see what we can do.”

Hahn will return to action this Friday and Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Devil’s Bowl Speedway – a fast, half-mile oval in Mesquite, Texas.

“Devil’s Bowl has always been one of my favorite race tracks to go to,” he said. “I’m the kind of guy who likes the big, fast, wide-open race tracks. It fits my driving style.

“The corners are completely different. You go in turns one and two and it’s a tighter corner. The top slips off and goes away on you. In turns three and four you’re going downhill so you’re hauling the mail pretty good. It’s tricky.”
