Inside Line Promotions – LUBBOCK, Texas (Feb. 17, 2014) – Graves Motorsports has been steadily making progress as the program prepares for the 2014 season.
The team nearly finished building the backup car last week.
“We’re waiting on a few parts, but for the most part it’s built,” driver Kolt Walker said. “We’re just waiting on a few little things and we’ll have two race cars race-ready.”
The handful of parts are slated to arrive in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, Walker is working with a designer to produce new graphics for the race cars. His goal is to have the fresh graphics selected within the next week.
“Then we can get them on the cars and to the t-shirt designer to have some apparel made for the start of the season,” Walker said. “It’s a step-by-step process.”
While things are moving along for the team, one key aspect of ongoing effort is finding potential partners to help offset the costs of competing for the ASCS Lone Star Region championship.
“Another big thing we’re working on now is financial help,” Walker said. “We’re thrashing on that so we can get some more funds to run the full season.”
