Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 27, 2026) – Jack Dover advanced a handful of positions last week during a pair of Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series races.

The Tim Estenson Motorsports competitor drove from 10th to fifth place on Tuesday at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and from 12th to eighth place on Friday at Jackson Motorplex. A race on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., was cancelled because of the weather.

“It was a solid week and we made progress,” Dover said. “I always say any night you can move forward is a good night and we did that both times we were able to race.”

Dover placed third in a heat race to open the action at Rapid Speedway. He wrapped up the night by maneuvering to his eighth top-five finish of the season.

“I felt very good,” he said. “My thought when I went out for the feature was I didn’t care where we finished, we just needed to survive. It was probably the roughest track I’d been on in 10 or 12 years. I knew if we’re going to win a championship we needed to finish the race. The track was rutted up and nasty. They went out and reworked it. They tried everything they could. It was just an anomaly. Coming out of there with a top five considering everything, it was a good night.”

Three nights later, Dover gained two positions in a heat race to place fifth at Jackson Motorplex.

“We were really good in hot laps and switched the gear for the heat race and maybe went a little too far,” he said. “We got two cars, but needed one more to make the feature redraw. We weren’t very good at the beginning of the feature, but in the last 12 laps we were really good. We’re going to try some things this Friday and I’m looking forward to going back. We’re not far off. We just need to be better at the beginning of the race.”

Dover plans on returning to Jackson Motorplex this Friday for another MSTS show before venturing to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday. Both races are part of the Border Battle.

“We have good notes for Jackson and know what we need in the car to be a little better,” he said. “The last time we were at Knoxville we tried some things at the beginning of the night that we won’t try again. We’ll go with something completely different and hope it works better.”
