Inside Line Promotions – GREENBRIER, Ark. (July 27, 2026) – Jordon Mallett is eager to return to racing following three weeks off to recuperate from a concussion.

“Nobody ever wants to have to sit on the sidelines from an injury from race cars, but it’s part of it,” he said. “I’m eager to get back in the car. Every day that passes that I’m not in the car it bothers me more. I’m just ready to get back in the car and let things start feeling normal again for this time of the year.”

Mallett and car owner A.G. Rains plan to compete with the USCS Series this Friday and Saturday at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Mallett ran second at the track earlier this season and produced results of first and second there in August 2024.

“I feel pretty good about it,” he said. “We had one there earlier this year when we ran second after an ill-timed caution came out. I felt we had a car to win. The next night we had a mechanical failure. In years past I’ve ran pretty well there so it’s one I feel confident rolling in to for sure.”

Mallett was riding an eight-race top-five streak prior to his DNF from the injury at his most recent race earlier this month.

“I feel like if we can just go and hit our marks and do our job there’s no reason we won’t be a top contender this weekend,” he said. “I know we have the package to win if everything goes our way. That’s been the story of the year. We’re going into it with the same mentality of knowing we have a fast hot rod night in and night out. We want to put ourselves in contention each night and hopefully things will start rolling our way in the victory column.”
