Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 24, 2026) – Ryan Timms and Gunnar Pike earned victories on Friday at Jackson Motorplex during the Wieskus Memorial presented by SW Broadband.
Timms captured the $5,000-to-win Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series main event, winning by 1.234 seconds for his fifth career score at the dirt oval.
Cameron Martin led for the first 10 laps before Timms, who dropped back to fourth in the first few laps, used a slide job in turn two during a restart on Lap 11 to power into the top spot. Martin attempted to return the favor in turns three and four, but the momentum on the top groove kept Timms in the lead. A caution one lap later was the final stoppage before the final 14 laps of the 25-lap race ran non-stop.
“I got a terrible start,” Timms said. “I fell back to fourth and was able to just fall in line. I just got a great restart (to take the lead). I really didn’t expect it to work out that way. I felt like I was pretty sloppy in lapped traffic so I’m not sure how close he was to me. It was a great night.”
Martin held off Austin McCarl in a spirited battle for the runner-up position.
“We started off all right and had her pretty good there at the end,” Martin said. “I just made a few mistakes that the No. 10 car didn’t. Nothing to really complain about tonight. I’ve gotta rewatch it and take some notes.”
McCarl rounded out the podium.
“I didn’t get a good start there behind Ryan and lost a few spots,” he said. “We’ll go to Knoxville and try to be a couple of spots better and be back next week.”
Jy Corbet placed fourth and was the Hard Charger Award winner with Chris Martin ending fifth.
Sean Rayhall, Brogan Carter and Jamie Ball posted heat race wins. Cameron Martin was the dash winner.
Pike took the lead on Lap 7 and held off eighth-starting Lee Goos Jr. to win the 20-lap Heser Auto & Detailing RaceSaver Sprint Cars main event by 0.378 seconds. It marked Pike’s first career victory at the track.
“This car was unbelievable,” he said. “I could run it anywhere. I really like this place. It wasn’t a bad night at all.”
Laney Moore paced the field for the first six laps before Pike used the top groove to power into the lead in turn four. Goos Jr. passed Moore for the runner-up position on Lap 9 and closed within a few car lengths of the leader a couple of times, but was unable to challenge Pike for the top spot.
Brandon Bosma produced a third-place result with Moore finishing fourth and Michalob Voeltz fifth.
The heat races were won by Corbin Erickson, Moore, Chance Cody and Bosma. Hunter Hanson and Mason Slendy each claimed a B Main triumph.
Jackson Motorplex returns to action next Friday for the Hefty Seed Merle Johnson Memorial presented by PaPosse.TV featuring the Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series as well as the Heser Auto & Detailing RaceSaver Sprint Cars and the MedStar Midwest Sprint Touring Series RaceSavers.
