Inside Line Promotions – WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (June 22, 2026) – Jordon Mallett matched his career-best run of eight straight top-five finishes thanks to a pair of top fives last weekend with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints.
Mallett and car owner A.G. Rains advanced from eighth to second place on Friday at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Ark., and from 11th to fifth place on Saturday at Riverside International Speedway.
“I feel like the weekend went fairly good,” Mallett said. “We had to pass a lot of race cars, which makes the night longer trying to get in position. But it shows how good of a car we had all weekend.”
Mallett won a heat race to open the action at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway, where he lined up on the outside of the fourth row in the main event.
“We were in the right spots at the right time,” he said. “We had a pretty good race car and were better in some areas than others. We rode it out and it worked out to get to second. We needed traffic to make it a little more interesting to challenge for the win. The track was pretty top dominant so we would have needed more traffic to force people to move around.”
The runner-up result tied Mallett’s best outing of the season.
The team wrapped up the weekend on Saturday during what turned out to be a jumbled night at Riverside International Speedway, which hosted the Greg Hodnett Memorial.
“They wanted to do qualifying with it being a bigger show,” Mallett said. “We were quick time overall, but they came back before the heats and said it would only line up the heats. So they just inverted the fast qualifiers and lined us up fourth in the heat, which they went off passing points.”
Mallett advanced from fourth to third place in the heat race, which lined him up on the inside of the sixth row in the feature.
“We drove through the field pretty good,” he said. “We suffered a little nose wing damage and that halted our charge. We had a really, really good race car and we felt our team did our job. It was frustrating with the way they changed the format after qualifying as we were fastest and got penalized for that. But, all in all, it was a good night with a fast race car. We just wish they had picked a format and stuck to it.”
Mallett will take this weekend off before racing July 2 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss.; and July 3-4 at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala., with the USCS Series.
