Inside Line Promotions - BOISE, Ida. (Oct. 15, 2013) - Logan Forler has done well at battling from the back at Devil's Bowl Speedway.
He's hoping to start closer to the front during this weekend's 40th annual Winter Nationals at the fast track in Mesquite, Texas, with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
"I've never really been good there before," he said. "I just need to pick up where I left off at Arizona Speedway."
Forler is coming off his eighth victory of the season - Oct. 5 at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. - and is hoping to ride that momentum into a couple of solid finishes this Friday and Saturday.
"Try to get a couple of top 10s," he said of his goal. "I don't have any provisionals left. I just need to make the show and hopefully get a top 10 out of it each night."
Forler has earned 36 top-10 finishes this season, but is in search of his first one at Devil's Bowl Speedway. He charged from 24th to 12 th during the spring race and from 17th to 11th in the summer event.
"The car has never been very good there," he said. "Each corner is totally different from one another and I haven't quite got the grasp of turns one and two yet. That's where I always struggle."
