Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (May 26, 2026) – Tim Estenson is planning to get his season underway this Saturday at Of Road Speedway.
The dirt oval in Norfolk, Neb., hosts a Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series event, which will be the first of approximately 30-to-35 races behind the wheel this season.
“It’s the first race of the year and I haven’t raced much in the last couple of years so I don’t have too many expectations,” he said. “I’ll try to get a feel for the car and shake things down in hot laps. I want to make the most out of it and come away with a good finish.”
While Estenson and Jack Dover are splitting driving duties for Tim Estenson Motorsports this season, Saturday’s show marks the return to more regular racing for Estenson. He only competed one time last season with a focus on learning outside of the race car.
“I think in previous years as just a driver I didn’t worry about a whole lot outside of driving,” he said. “With sitting out last year and trying to learn as much as I could, I watched what Jack’s decisions were in the car. The biggest thing is if you’re only a fourth-place car, just take that and move on to the next night. Before, I’d push it and end up with a DNF. I can give input now to help the crew so I’m looking forward to feeling everything in the car better.”
Estenson’s lone start last season was at Off Road Speedway, where he recorded a fifth-place finish in August. He was victorious at the track in May 2023.
“We had good luck there in 2023 and I learned a lot with that one race last year,” he said. “In 2023, there was a lot more moisture and cooler temps. Last year it was later in the year and was hot. Unfortunately, it rubbered up in the beginning of the night. Hopefully with this race being in May the track will have more moisture and be racy.”
