Inside Line Promotions – VIVIAN, La. (May 18, 2026) – Jordon Mallett posted a pair of podium finishes last weekend during an ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints doubleheader at Ark-La-Tex Speedway.
Mallett’s results of second and third, respectively, during his debut at the track gives him six straight top-five finishes – his best run since seven in a row in the late summer of 2024. His career-best streak is eight consecutive top fives in 2020.
“Now that we’re able to race it’s showing we have a super consistent program,” he said. “We expect to be on the podium every night. We’re not one bit complacent. We’re trying stuff very night so to continue having that consistency is extremely encouraging and is a testament to A.G. (Rains) and his program.”
Mallett advanced from fourth to third place in a heat race on Friday before a late rally from the ninth starting position netted a runner-up result in the A Main. His seven positions gained earned the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars. His second-place finish also tied a season-best outing.
“I felt really good,” he said. “We were a late bloomer there in the feature. We were just okay early on, but the car really started to come to life the last 10 or 11 laps. We were able to roll through there, make good speed and have a lot of maneuverability. I wish we could have had more laps because we were able to make a lot of speed those last laps.”
Mallett continued to run strong on Saturday when he placed second in a heat race before advancing from sixth to third place in the A Main.
“We were in a little better position on Saturday night,” he said. “We made a few changes to make us better early on. The track was a little different and was bottom dominant. I was able to make speed on the top, but not move forward. I rode around in sixth or seventh most of the feature. Once we started to get toward the latter stages of the race my car kept getting better. We were able to do some things differently on restarts to use the top just enough to outrun the bottom for a lap. We made a late-race charge to get on the podium.”
USCS Series Speedweek runs the next two weekends, starting with shows this Friday at Benton Speedway in Benton, Mo.; Saturday at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.; Sunday at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Ark.; and Monday at Pine Ridge Speedway in Guntown, Miss.
“I’ve been waiting on Speedweek,” Mallett said. “It’s where you can do better going back-to-back-to-back. The weather doesn’t look great for this weekend, which has four races in a row close to home. I’m hoping it all times out just right so we get to race.”
