Inside Line Promotions – WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (May 12, 2026) – Jordon Mallett earned his best ASCS National Tour result since June 2024 last Friday at Benton Speedway, where he made his season debut with the series.

Mallett, who was driving for car owner A.G. Rains, qualified second quickest in his group at the bullring in Benton, Mo. He won a heat race to advance into the dash. A runner-up result in the dash lined him up on the outside of the front row in the main event.

“I felt we executed pretty well all night,” he said. “We rolled out of the box with a really good race car. We timed in well and heat raced good. We put ourselves in a good spot in the dash and ran second there.

“It hurt us a little having to start on the outside in the feature because it wasn’t the preferred line. We jumped in line and it was a slow-paced race. I think it took more than an hour to complete. It’s about keeping your head right throughout the cautions and delays. We had a pretty good race car and we were consistent. The track was really top dominant and technical. We ran between second and fourth the whole race before finishing second.”

Mallett survived the tricky track to tie his best result of the season with the second-place showing. It marked his best outing with the ASCS National Tour since a win on June 22, 2024.

The team also competed on Saturday at Riverside International Speedway, where Mallett timed in 10th quickest in qualifying. He placed second in a heat race before moving forward one position in the main event to end fourth – his fourth straight top-five result.

“We unloaded pretty solid,” he said. “We were on the pole of a heat race and it wasn’t ideal because of the way the track was on the bottom so we ran second. In the feature, we were pretty good. There were a few things we wanted to refine in getting the car balanced throughout the middle of the feature. We had good speed, but it was tough to advance.”

An ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints doubleheader this Friday and Saturday at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., is next for Mallett. It will mark his debut at the track.

“I really don’t know much of anything about it,” he said. “It’s close enough I’d have thought we’d been there before, but if I understood right they haven’t had sprint cars in 10 years. I’ve always held an attitude that I like going to places I haven’t seen before. I feel we’re normally pretty good at places on our first trip.”
