Inside Line Promotions – GREENBRIER, Ark. (April 13, 2026) – Jordon Mallett is hoping to wear a crown this Saturday when he invades Riverside International Speedway for the King of the Ditch.
A $5,000 payday is on the line at the dirt oval in West Memphis, Ark., where Mallett has five career winged sprint car triumphs.
“It’s nice to be close to home and run for a good purse,” he said. “More than that, I’m just ready to get more laps in and try to work on our program and notebook.”
Mallett and car owner A.G. Rains recorded a pair of runner-up results at the track when they teamed up at the end of the 2024 season.
“I’m ready to get back there,” Mallett said. “It’s a place I’ve always liked going to and I feel like we’re normally pretty good there. I think it’s the perfect opportunity to hopefully get this season going in the direction of the expectations we have.”
Saturday’s race will be the first in more than a month for the team, which last competed on March 13 at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Ala. A DNF in the heat race because of mechanical woes left the team unable to start the main event.
“We changed motors and were ready to race the next night if it didn’t get rained out, but Mother Nature won,” Mallett said. “We’re hoping we can get this bad luck we’ve had to start the season behind us. Everyone is giving 110 percent, but we’ve had a string of bad luck we haven’t been able to get rid of yet. It’s just circumstances outside of all of our control. We’ve got speed and everything we need. We just need a little luck on our side so we can compete in races.”
