Inside Line Promotions - KENNEDALE, Texas (Sept. 18, 2013) - Momentum is definitely on Blake Hahn's side lately.

Hahn captured his 11th top-five finish of the season on Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park in the ASCS Lone Star vs. ASCS Sooner Region event.

"It wasn't too bad," he said. "I felt like we've been pretty consistent lately. I think now that we're getting more top fives consistency is helping us."

After starting third in his heat race, Hahn took the lead midway through the heat. That earned him the most points of any driver through the heat races and a trip to the feature redraw. He then drew a four in the random draw to start on the outside of the second row for the main event.

"The track still had quite a bit of moisture," he said. "It had a good cushion and a good bottom. At the start of the race we dropped a couple of positions. The top was pretty rough because the modifieds ran before us. The bottom had plenty of moisture coming out of the turns. I started working the bottom and got back up to fifth and stayed there."

Hahn's fifth-place result marked his sixth top 10 in the last eight races. He is scheduled to compete this Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Port-a-Cool U.S. Dirt Track Championship.

Last season, Hahn placed seventh in his heat race and sixth in a B Main in the inaugural event.

"The track was pretty slick," he said. "The track was pretty fun though."
