Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (Jan. 29, 2026) – Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel is seeking to join rare air this season as the team aims to capture a third consecutive World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship.

If accomplished, Gravel would become only the fourth driver to win three World of Outlaws titles in a row and just the fifth driver to garner at least three championships in a career.

“It’s really cool to have the opportunity to do that,” he said. “It’s high on our priority list, but it’s not going to be easy. I feel like we have all the tools to continue what we are doing. I feel we are getting better and stronger as the years go. For only three other drivers to have done it, that’s pretty cool.”

The grueling schedule featuring more than 80 races begins next week when Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., hosts the 55th annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals Feb. 4-7.

Gravel, who is entering his sixth year with Big Game Motorsports, has won five of his last 15 World of Outlaws races at the track and the team has earned the DIRTcar Nationals championship two out of the last four years. Last season, Gravel finished second, fourth, third and third, respectively, to end up second in the event standings.

“Time seems to go by faster as you get older,” he said in reference to the offseason. “After Night 1, you’re in the swing of things. It’s a relaxing way to start the year starting in Florida. Definitely love starting the year at Volusia.”

The team is coming off a stellar 2025 campaign that culminated in a second straight World of Outlaws championship. That made Gravel only the sixth driver in the history of the Series to record that feat.

The team led the World of Outlaws in feature wins with 17 (18 total victories during the season) and in podium finishes, top fives and top 10s as well as feature laps led, quick time awards, heat race wins and dash appearances.

“On-track performance, I don’t know how it could get much better,” Gravel said. “We had two parts failures and the driver drove it into the fence the last race of the season. We had that flat tire in California, too. We had three DNFs and did what we did. Realistically the goal is always zero DNFs. Hopefully a maximum of one. Any more than that is really hurting your chances to make it happen.

“Right now the good teams are really, really good. There’s always pressure to stay on top.”
