Inside Line Promotions – ALGER, Wash. (Sept. 15, 2025) – Trey Starks recorded his 16th podium result of the season last Saturday at Skagit Speedway, where he regained the points lead in the 410ci winged sprint car division.
Starks qualified second quickest before he advanced from fourth to third place in a heat race and from fourth to second place in the A Main.
“We started off good and were able to capitalize on each situation we had,” he said. “We moved forward and were really close at the end. I think we just needed a couple of things to go our way and we would have had a shot. I felt good with our speed and fairly happy with the end result. Obviously you want to win every time, but all in all, it was a solid night.”
Championship Weekend arrives this weekend when the track hosts the final points race for the 360ci winged sprint cars on Friday and the 410ci winged sprint cars on Saturday.
Starks has driven to a division-best four 360 sprint car victories at Skagit Speedway this season to build a 76-point lead in the championship standings. He has earned a division-best three 410 triumphs and leads the standings by 13 points heading into the finale.
“I feel really good,” he said. “I feel like the track conditions were back where they fit our program, where the track is really wide and losing some grip in the feature. I feel like that’s where we excel. It’ll be nice to get two nights of racing in to kind of close out the season here in the Northwest. If we do everything right, I think we can have two good showings and compete for the win each night.”
