Inside Line Promotions – GREENBRIER, Ark. (April 7, 2025) – The racing season is slated to start this weekend for Jordon Mallett, who is tackling an ASCS National Tour race at Salina Highbanks Speedway.
Mallett’s lone visit to the high-banked oval in Salina, Okla., occurred in August 2023.
“We led most of the race until the rubber came in,” he said. “We fell to third, but second was disqualified so we were credited with second. We ran well. It was a good night. I wish we could have done just a little better, but it was really racy that night until it rubbered up.”
The goal for his season opener is to be just as competitive in his return to Salina Highbanks Speedway as he was a little more than a year and a half ago.
“Our expectation is really high,” he said. “We’re well prepared and we’ve ran there before so we have a little notebook to look at to get us in the park. It’s a fast race track that races small so you get the technicality of wing speed and dirty air becomes an issue, but the track races small so you can change some stuff up to be more of a driver than a great, big track sometimes allows.”
Mallett anticipates he will compete in approximately a dozen ASCS National Tour races this season. He will utilize a pick-and-choose schedule that focuses on the best opportunity to race each weekend with either ASCS or the USCS Series.
