Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (June 10, 2013) - It has been a quiet last two weeks for Travis Rilat.
With a focus toward his business, Rilat hasn't raced since May 25. That's slated to change this week as he joins the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour to open the Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek on Friday at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, and Saturday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.
"It'll be great to get back on the track," he said. "I seem to run well at both tracks and both are close to home, so I'm really looking forward to this weekend."
It has been a couple of years since Rilat has competed at Kennedale Speedway Park. However, he claimed a B Main and charged from 17th to fifth with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Devil's Bowl Speedway on March 22.
"We had a slow start to the night, but everything began to flow during the features," he said. "We had a great car to win the B Main and then we were able to maneuver and work up to a top five. Hopefully everything will start better this weekend and we can stay up front all night."
