Inside Line Promotions – SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Oct. 3, 2023) – Kaleb Johnson’s racing season featured several marquee moments.

Johnson captured the Hard Charger Award and a career-best result with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series during an AGCO Jackson Nationals powered by FENDT preliminary night when he hustled from 21st to 12th at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn.

He also recorded a career-best ninth-place finish with the High Limit Sprint Car Series at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., where Johnson made the feature redraw during a preliminary night of the 2nd annual BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals presented by MENARDS earlier in the summer.

Johnson earned success at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, as well. He set quick time during his 33rd annual Xtream Powered by Mediacom 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank preliminary night before battling for a top five during the event finale. Unfortunately, the night ended early with a crash after contact from a competitor on the final lap.

The following weekend, Johnson made his debut at the 62nd annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s hosted by Knoxville Raceway. He made the Hard Knox Night main event and the B Main during the crown jewel event finale.

“It was a bit of a struggle of a year, but we had some cool moments at the same time,” he said. “As much bad luck as we had, it was still a solid year. If we could have got some DNFs out of there it would have been a lot better.”

Additionally, Johnson enjoyed success in a few starts with TKS Motorsports as the team made a World of Outlaws main event at Knoxville Raceway.

Also of note, Johnson finished seventh in the Huset’s Speedway championship standings. He captured seven top fives, including a season-best result of second place.

“It was another year of learning,” he said. “Most of the times we raced 410 stuff it was at Knoxville, Huset’s or with the Outlaws so you’re racing against tough competition. Even though some nights we didn’t get the results we’d want, it was good for the advancement of my career in terms of getting laps and preparing myself more.”
