Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Nov. 1, 2022) – Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel is a contender for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship heading into the final event of the 2022 season.

Gravel has used a solid end of the summer and strong start to the fall to close to 16 points in the championship standings entering the World of Outlaws World Finals, which features sprint car races this Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C.

“I’d say the pressure is on him,” Gravel said of the points leader. “We had an outside chance and now we have a shot. It’s been a good year since Knoxville and we’ll keep it going.”

Gravel has trimmed the points lead from 96 points to only 16 points in the last six races and he heads to a track where he has captured four of the last six World of Outlaws World Finals main events. Gravel owns five career World of Outlaws wins at the oval.

“It’s a track where I get qualified good at,” he said. “You have to have good race cars to win. Putting yourself in position and having good cars is the key to being there at the end of the night.

“We’re just going to have to qualify good and get in the dash all three nights. If we win a race or two that will make the job a lot easier.”
