Inside Line Promotions – PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (June 22, 2022) – Greg Wilson added another top-10 performance during the second half of the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Sprint Speedweek to lead the way to a top-10 finish in the standings.

The highlight of the final half of the busy week featuring nine races in nine days was a charge from 20th to ninth a week ago Wednesday at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio.

“We were really good,” the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics sponsored Seeling Motorsports driver said. “We were able to race all over the track. We got by some guys on the top early in the race. It got to where you couldn’t run a lap on the curb without making a mistake. When it gets like that the track gets more grooves than wide open around the curb. We really got rolling through the middle of the race track.”

Wilson placed ninth in the B Main the following night at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, before he advanced from 20th to 14th at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio, last Friday and from 22nd to 17th on Saturday at Portsmouth Raceway Park.

“I feel like the results the rest of the week didn’t show in terms of top 10s that we were a decent race car,” he said. “I felt at Lima and Portsmouth we could have ran inside the top 10 if the tracks didn’t take rubber. We struggled at Waynesfield and Sharon and I’m not sure why. Everywhere else I felt we were a top 10.

“I felt like throughout Speedweek, like I said last week, we were floating right in the middle. We had a couple of off nights. We weren’t able to overcome the pill draw at Waynesfield. I felt we were decent at Lima until it took rubber. We were fairly decent at Portsmouth until it took rubber. I don’t even know if I’d made the feature there the couple of times I’d been there before. I think we’re trending toward where we need to be.”

Wilson’s three top 10s placed him 10th in the Speedweek standings.

“I really felt we could have had a little more success than that, but overall for where our team is at it was respectable,” he said. “You always want to do better with some podiums and a win, but in hindsight you look at there were 40 cars a night on average. Other than a couple of nights we had the ability to be a top-10 car. I haven’t felt that way in a while.”

The team plans on racing this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, and Saturday at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio.
