Inside Line Promotions – GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 9, 2022) – David Gravel earned his 13th top-five result of the season last Friday during the 1st Leg of the Northern Tour.

The Big Game Motorsports driver hustled from 11th to fifth during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series main event at River Cities Speedway. His 13 top fives ranks second best of any World of Outlaws driver.

The night began with Gravel qualifying eighth quickest. He finished fourth in a heat race to line up on the inside of the sixth row for the main event. Gravel methodically advanced positions throughout the feature before closing with the fifth-place finish. His six spots gained were the second most.

The team looked to carry momentum into a home track of Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., on Sunday, but the Ace Ready Mix and Myrl & Roy’s presents the World of Outlaws rained out and has been rescheduled for June 22.

Next up for the team is the Brownells Big Guns Bash this Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where Gravel has 10 career 410ci winged sprint car victories.

He enters the event ranked second in the World of Outlaws championship standings – only 52 points behind the leader.
