Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 6, 2022) – Garet Williamson posted a career-best third-place result at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday evening.

The Bryant Paver Motorsports driver was efficient every time he hit the track beginning with the second quickest qualifying lap.

“I came back in and didn’t feel too good about my lap,” he said. “I felt like I left some on the table. We were second and I didn’t know if we’d stay on the board the rest of the way. Luckily, it held up. Then we went sixth to third in our heat race and that put us as the second-highest driver in points.”

A four-car inversion lined Williamson up on the inside of the second row for the A Main.

“I think we were contenders almost all night,” he said. “The start of the A Main is the only thing that held us back from potentially leading it. Several drivers on the outside row got by and we went into turn one in sixth or seventh. Once we got going we were really fast.”

Williamson rallied back into his starting position and he reeled in the top two drivers before ending third.

“I had one of the best cars I’ve had there,” he said. “I could run the top, bottom, slide myself. I was entering the top and driving it across the track. I think that says a lot about our car.”

The team plans on racing this Friday and Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., during a POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League doubleheader. If it rains out the back-up plan is to return to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday.
