Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (May 25, 2016) – Trey Starks has a change of plans for this weekend thanks to a phone call earlier this week.
Starks will stay on the East Coast following Friday’s World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., where he will drive for Jeff McCall during the Circle K/NOS Energy Drink Outlaw Showdown.
Starks is teaming up with Scott Gobrecht to tackle the Bob Weikert Memorial on Sunday and Monday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. Saturday’s race is still up in the air for the team.
“I got a call from Scott offering his ride for the Bob Weikert Memorial,” Starks said. “I’m so excited for this opportunity to compete in a great car at one of the premier events in Central Pennsylvania. I can’t thank Scott and his team enough for the chance to drive for them. I’m bummed I have to miss the Marvin Smith Memorial at Cottage Grove Speedway this weekend, but this opportunity is amazing and was too good to pass up.”
Starks last competed at Port Royal Speedway in 2014 when he raced at the fast half-mile oval a handful of times with a top result of eighth place.
