Inside Line Promotions – GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (July 2, 2015) – Kevin Swindell will return to the Boot Hill Showdown this weekend for the first time since 2012.
Swindell will pilot a sprint car for Brandon Berryman during the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series doubleheader at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kan., this Friday and Saturday.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to head to Dodge City,” he said. “I think we have a car capable of running in the top 10 both nights and hopefully even closer to the front.”
Swindell finished 12th and 17th, respectively, during his debut at the 3/8-mile oval in 2012.
“Dodge City is a nice facility that battles high winds, which can dramatically alter the track conditions,” he said. “I hope the track stays racy and wide throughout the weekend.”
Swindell has competed in four World of Outlaws races this season with a season-best result of 10th place, which came after he charged from his 25th starting position. He has also placed 19th and 15th, respectively, during two other features with the series.
Swindell has teamed up with Berryman twice this season. The duo advanced from 21st to 15th at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during an Outlaws event in April before mechanical issues sidelined the team early during an Outlaws race at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla., in May.
