Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (July 23, 2014) – Derek Hagar is excited to make his season debut at Knoxville Raceway this weekend.

Hagar is set to tackle the half-mile oval in Knoxville, Iowa, this Saturday for a 360ci event prior to the 360 Knoxville Nationals the following week. It will mark his first trip to the track since 2013.

“We’re breaking out a new car to make everything look good,” he said. “We’re coming out with our guns loaded.”

Hagar, who has earned 11 feature victories this season, is seeking his first career triumph at Knoxville Raceway.

“I feel like we have a pretty solid baseline,” he said. “We need to make a couple of extra laps to see. If anything is going to happen I’d rather it happen on the test night rather than on a qualifying night for the 360 Knoxville Nationals.”

Hagar said his objective for this Saturday’s race is to be consistent and to learn what he can before the Nationals.

“I want to just go out there, be strong and click off some good laps,” he said.
