Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (March 10, 2025) – Dominic Scelzi is rolling into Las Vegas this week to tackle the Kubota High Limit Racing season-opening event.

The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway showcases sprint car races on Thursday and Saturday.

“I want to roll out of there with two top 10s,” he said. “I think it will be a good start for us and it’s good that it’s close to home.”

Scelzi last competed at the track in February 2019. His best result in a handful of starts there with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series was a run from 20th to ninth place in March 2015. That performance earned the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars and was his career-best outing with the World of Outlaws at the time.

“The track hasn’t had a national sprint car race since 2019,” he said. “It’s the first half mile we’ve been on since 2020. Hopefully we can unload and race well. Then it’s back to California to tracks we’re familiar with. It’s a good first test for us.”

Scelzi will join High Limit Racing its first two weekends of the season with his home state of California hosting a trio of races next week.

“I felt we found our footing at the end of last year,” he said. “We’ve worked really hard to get everything ready. I’ve worked really hard physically and mentally to get myself ready.”

Scelzi said this season is all about chasing wins as his family owned team won’t race for points.

“I think we’re around 65 races,” he said. “It’ll be mostly in California. We’ll go to Washington a couple of times and hit a race or two in Oregon. Our goal is to win 10-plus races. We want to win a handful of 410 shows and knock off some of the big races in California. I think we’re in a position to win races again and that’s our goal. We want to start off fast and rack up as wins as we can.”
