Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Jan. 31, 2023) – The 2023 season will feature a major change for Jack Dover, who shifts his primary focus to a new role.

Dover has teamed with up-and-coming driver Tim Estenson, who has relocated his family race team to Dover’s home state of Nebraska. Dover will serve as the crew chief throughout the team’s 90-plus race schedule of 410ci and 360ci winged sprint car events.

“I’m driven to win,” Dover said. “I wouldn’t be doing this with someone who I didn’t see to be a winner. I see a ton of talent in Tim. He’s an aggressive driver who likes to take care of his equipment. I see him doing big things and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Dover won’t leave the seat completely as he is eyeing a 22-race schedule, competing at events in the Midwest when he can do double duty with Estenson also racing. Events with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and High Limit Sprint Car Series highlight the tentative plan for Dover.

“I am not done racing,” he said. “That was a stipulation, that I could still race. I want to go to the bigger races. Most likely when I race it’ll be at events we’re already going to with Tim.

“I want to thank all of my partners for their continued support in this new endeavor. Even though my schedule will be about half of what it normally has been the last few years I still have the same expectation to battle for the win every time I compete.”

Dover’s first scheduled event behind the wheel is April 7 at U.S. 36 Raceway near Osborn, Mo., with the World of Outlaws.
