Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (June 8, 2026) – With Mother Nature wiping out Tim Estenson’s racing plans last weekend, his season opener is now scheduled for this Thursday.

The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver plans to kick off the season on Thursday at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, with the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing.

“I’m excited and I’m nervous because I don’t have any laps this year or many in more than a year,” he said. “Once I hop back in, I’ll be locked in and I think I’ll feel comfortable after hot laps. The biggest thing is to shake the car down, log every lap and try to make the show.

“If we can make the show and move forward and get close to a top 10, I think that’d be huge for us. We just need to keep our nose clean and stay out of trouble and hopefully it will fall into place.”

Estenson has raced at Shelby County Speedway four times in his career. He placed 11th during his debut in 2023 before recording a fifth-place result later that season during the Cyclone Classic preliminary night. Estenson was victorious the ensuing night and he duplicated that success during the one-day event in 2024.

“We won the Cyclone Classic back-to-back years there,” he said. “We’ve definitely had really good success. We’ve always rolled out of the box there with speed no matter what time of year. We’ll have some good notes and hopefully we can use that to our advantage.”
